PA/NJ Hiking Trails Closed |
Update: April 6, 2018 - The NPS has announced that the following hiking trail are now open: Coppermine Trail, Rattlesnake Swamp Trail, Coventry Pond Trail near Millbrook, Arrow Island Trail, and Slateford Loop Trail.
Update: April 9, 2018 - Great news! The entire McDade Trail is now open! Blue Mountain Lakes Trail, Crater Lake Trail and Skyline Drive have been opened as well.
Update: April 20, 2018 - The Arrow Island Trail, Slateford Loop Trail, and all beach and boat launch areas are open.
Update: April 23, 2018 - The National Park Service has confirmed that both the Scenic Gorge and Tumbling Waters trails at PEEC have been cleared for public use.
Update: July 20, 2018 - It looks like the majority of the trails in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area are now open except for Childs Park, Dingmans Creek, Conashaugh Trail, Hornbecks Creek, Hidden Lake, Kaiser Trail, and the Two Ponds Trail.
Update: February 19, 2019 - The only trails that remain closed due to the damage caused by this storm include the Conashaugh View Trail, Childs Park, and Hornbecks Creek.
Hi, do you know if Childs Park is open?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately George W Childs Park is closed. From what I've read, it was hit hard by the storm and will likely be closed for the entire year if not longer.
